SERVICES
At Play & Thrive we believe in discussing with you what therapy options are best for you and your child. We offer a range of services to suit you and your child's needs.
Assessments
We assess a child's function in a range of areas such as Sensory, Behaviour, Activities of Daily Living, Play, Fine Motor, Gross Motor and Social Skills. This helps with understanding the child's strengths and areas of difficulty as well as support funding applications if relevant.
Occupational Therapy
We provide 1:1 therapy for your child in their home, school or community space. This therapy is individualised and guided by family focused, child led goals.
Parent/Educator Education
Parent and/or educator education sessions help empower and enable key people in the child's life to understand the child more and be across the child's therapy goals. This supports transfer of skills across many environments as well as ensuring everyone is working to a common goal.

PricingSessions are priced at $193.99 per hour. All sessions incur a 15 min administration/travel fee. This fee allows the therapist to prepare for the session and takes into account the time to travel to the session. If the therapist has to travel further than 20 minutes to the session an additional travel fee may be required. All fees will be discussed with clients prior to engaging in sessions. Assessments are $193.99 an hour for both face to face assessment and report writing time. Assessments will vary in the amount of time needed dependent on the type of assessment required and the child’s needs. On average this will vary from 4 hours to 7 hours for a comprehensive assessment (this includes the face to face assessment, comprehensive report and follow up meeting). It may also require observations of your child in the environment of concern (e.g., day care, school). An informal assessment will typically take 2-3 hours and will include an initial observational assessment (no standardised measures to be used), screening report (1-2 pages) and a parent interview to discuss concerns and set goals. Please discuss with your therapist which assessment (if any) would be most suitable for your child and a more accurate quote can be provided.
